World Heritage Guidelines: adapting to a changing climate

On 2 July 2025, experts, site managers, and institutional partners gathered at Heidelberg University to explore concrete actions for safeguarding cultural and natural World Heritage in the face of the climate crisis. The event followed the adoption of UNESCO’s 2023 Policy Document on Climate Action for World Heritage, and marked the presentation of its German translation.
