The people
The OurWorldHeritage Foundation is an open initiative of concerned citizens and organizations from across the globe. Currently, the Foundation fully functions on voluntary efforts and team spirit. People presented below are members of the Board and Advisory Committee of the OurWorldHeritage Foundation. Please note that these people represent a small fraction of total network, as there are many more people involved in this initiative. We are grateful for everyone who has helped to build up OurWorldHeritage.

Haifa Abedalhaleem
Member of the Advisory CommitteeWorld Heritage For All initiative, Jordan. Haifaa had worked for IUCN more than 12 years, managing their activities in the Arab States and Iran. She has extensive experience in capacity building and the provision of quality technical advice on all aspects of World Heritage.

Francesco Bandarin
Member of the Advisory CommitteeFrancesco Bandarin is an Architect and Urban Planner, specialized in Urban Conservation. From 2000 to 2010 he was Director of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre. From 2010 to 2018 he served as Assistant Director-General of UNESCO for Culture.

Christina Cameron
Member of the Advisory CommitteeA professor at the University of Montreal (Canada) from 2005 to 2019, Christina Cameron directed a research program on heritage conservation. She previously served with Parks Canada for more than thirty-five years, chairing the World Heritage Committee in 1990 and 2008.

Jaeheon Choi
Member of the Advisory CommitteeHuman geographer over 30 years. BA and MA from Seoul National University and Ph.D. from University of Minnesota, USA, Being professor of geography and World Heritage Studies of Konkuk University, Seoul since 1995. Former Secretary General of ICOMOS Korea, currently board member of ICOMOS Korea. Interested in Historic Urban Landscape and urban heritage. Since 1995, He has been a professor of geography in Konkuk University in South Korea.

Kay Van Damme
Member of the Advisory CommitteeResearcher, Biologist, Ghent University (Belgium).

Patricia O'Donnell
Member of the BoardPLA, FASLA, AICP, F.US/ICOMOS, preservation landscape architect and urban planner, founded Heritage Landscapes LLC in 1987. Patricia has contributed to ASLA, ICOMOS, IFLA, OurWorldHeritage and UNESCO World Heritage to advance the valued landscape cultural and natural heritage of diverse places and peoples in the USA and around the globe.

Giovanni Fontana Antonelli
Member of the Advisory CommitteeArchitect, specialised in rehabilitation of historic towns and landscapes, especially in conflict and post-conflict contexts. He worked for UNESCO managing projects in African and Arab regions (1998-2019). He is currently CEO the non-profit organization Archi.Media Trust in Italy.

Maaike Goedkoop
Member of the BoardUrban Planner, focussed on Heritage and Environmental Impact Assessment, Scientific Assistant at Chair for the History and Theory of Urban Design, ETH Zürich.

Shikha Jain
Member of the Advisory CommitteeWildlife Institute of India (WII), UNESCO C2C, India. Shikha Jain’s portfolio covers Conservation, World Heritage and Museum projects across India and Overseas largely realised through her organisation DRONAH. She is Vice President, ICOFORT, ICOMOS; Advisory Committee Member, MSc. UNESCO C2C at WII, Dehradun; Member, Advisory Committee on World Heritage Matters ASI and State Convener, INTACH Haryana.

Joe Kallas
Member of the Advisory CommitteeArchitect, specialized in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage. He’s a member of ICOMOS Lebanon. He’s a core team member of CIPA Heritage Documentation Emerging Professionals (ICOMOS/ISPRS). After the Beirut blast, he organized the 3D documentation mission of Beirut's heritage.

Jihon Kim
Member of the Advisory CommitteeDr. Jihon Kim is a senior programme specialist at the Korean National Commission for UNESCO and has been serving as a public legislative officer at the Ministry of Government Legislation. Ms. Kim received her Ph.D. in International Studies at Seoul National University.

Tokie Laotan-Brown
Member of the Advisory CommitteeMerging Ecologies, Heritage Architect and Cultural Economist. Doctor of Science in Economics and Techniques for the Conservation of the Architectural and Environmental Heritage, University of Nova Gorica and Universita Luav Di Venezia, Italy

Nimmy Namrata
Member of the Advisory CommitteeNimmy Namrata (ICOMOS Singapore, ICOMOS India, DOCOMOMO Singapore) is a conservation architect, providing consultancy services, based in Singapore. Her projects include feasibility studies through design strategies, restoration works, adaptive reuse and conservation management and maintenance plans for historic structures in the South East Asian region.

Debbie Norris
Member of the Advisory CommitteeDebra Hess Norris, Chair, Department of Art Conservation and Professor of Photograph Conservation at the University of Delaware (USA). Norris has authored more than 45 articles/ book chapters on the care of photographic materials and taught/secured support for 160+ preservation workshops and initiatives worldwide. Daniele Pini
Member of the Advisory CommitteeRetired Full Professor of Urban Planning at the University of Ferrara, and currently adjunct professor at the University of Bologna (Italy), has carried out urban conservation studies on several WH cities in Italy and MENA region as a consultant to local governements and international organizations.

Dennis Rodwell
Member of the Advisory CommitteeDennis Rodwell, architect-planner, independent researcher and consultant, works and publishes internationally in the field of cultural heritage and sustainable urban development, focused on the promotion and achievement of best practice in the management of the broadly defined historic environment.

Mario Santana Quintero
Member of the Advisory CommitteeHe is a full professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (Carleton University) in Ottawa, Canada. He is also the Director of the NSERC Create program Heritage Engineering and faculty member of the Carleton immersive Media Studio Lab (CIMS). Besides his academic work in Canada, he is a guest professor at the Raymond Lemaire International Centre for Conservation (University of Leuven). Along with his academic activities, he serves as Secretary General of the International Council of Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS).

Monica Bahia Schlee
Member of the Advisory CommitteeDr Monica Bahia Schlee is a landscape architect and urban planner, lecturer at the Professional Master Course in Design and Heritage of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and co-coordinator of the New Heritage Approaches team of the OWH initiative.

Soul Shava
Member of the Advisory CommitteeSoul Shava is a Professor in Education for Sustainable Development with research interests in Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Cultural Heritage, University of South Africa.

Maria Siguencia
Member of the Advisory CommitteeArchitect. Master in Conservation of Monuments and Sites and PhD fom KU Leuven, Belgium. Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Architecture in the University of Cuenca, Ecuador. She is active in the Go-HUL, the CIPA Emerging-Professionals and ICOMOS Ecuador.

Michael Turner
Member of the Advisory CommitteeProfessor Michael Turner is an architect, the UNESCO Chairholder in Urban Design and Conservation Studies at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem. Involved in teaching and research he is advisor to the World Heritage Centre.

Amy Wilson
Member of the Advisory CommitteeAmy is a linguist, heritage volunteer, and arts professional, working with the National Galleries of Scotland. Her areas of study and interest include art history, antiquities trafficking, and art crime.

Minja Yang
Member of the Advisory CommitteePresident and Professor Emeritus, Raymond Lemaire International Centre for Conservation [RLICC], KU Leuven and former Director, UNESCO New Delhi Office.

Ege Yildirim
Member of the Advisory CommitteeUrban planner specializing in cultural heritage conservation and management, with 20+ years experience in Turkey and internationally. Interest areas include sustainable development, site management, governance and policy. Graduate of Middle East Technical University (1998), University of York (1999), Ankara University (2012), Fulbright Scholar- Pratt Institute (2006-07).
