A New Chapter for Community Engagement
OurWorldHeritage is in transition. We are currently pausing our formal membership structure while finding new ways of engaging people in our community, with as little barriers as possible. We aim to create an open online platform — a place to share activities, stories, challenges, and insights, and to create space for collective engagement.
Our current focus is on:
Connecting people and communities who are engaged in the daily work of caring for heritage across different local and cultural contexts.
Advocating for greater recognition of local efforts and the challanges people face within global heritage governance.
Strengthening the visibility of grassroots initiatives, to strengthen the impact of their missions and knowledge.
The most effective way to stay informed and involved is by subscribing to our newsletter, which we are developing as a community-driven platform. We welcome your contributions — whether you wish to share an announcement, raise a concern, or introduce your work to a broader audience.
If you’d like to be part of this transformation — as a contributor, partner, or supporter — please don’t hesitate to reach out via our contact form.
OurWorldHeritage is entirely volunteer-led. Its direction depends on the time, energy, and commitment of those who participate. We thank all those who have supported us over the years — your involvement continues to shape what this platform can become.

Collecting monthly funds to fund the monthly fees to uphold this website is our first priority. If available, remaining funds are used for translations, website development and promoting online visibility. If you want to donate directly to communities, we advise you to keep an eye on crowdfunding actions that we plan to post in the near future.
